Hi Guys I have a 2001 honda civic 4DR recently I purchase the whole interior of canadian Model Acura EL (2004) in Black. I yesterday install the interior door panels by myself which was fairly easy took me about 35 minutes to do all four doors. When I finish installing the driver's side door panel I ran into an issue the driver's side door power window master switch does not work for the driver side window only, rest ever window is working except for driver's side. Also the switch which indicate auto is not lid either. Need help any suggestion what could be wrong this is my second switch from Acura EL and both did the same thing.

 

having the same problem with my '92 civic. i checked the plug from the door to the body and found some broken wires, also you could just need a new master switch

 

Ditto the above, broken leads in the drivers door wire boot is a common problem.

Do you have a 12V test light, [not the LED type]?

The wiring is easy to test...

The first thing to check is for power for drivers window, [green lead at master switch] it is fuse 23 - 20A in under dash fuse box.

If that is good, connect the test light probe ground to the red/black and the test light probe to the red/yellow at the master switch and rock the drivers window switch, the test light should light up when switch is rocked in either direction. 94

 

Will try that but also when I install the master switch that was on my car it works perfectly ok its just the switch that came with the door panel for 04 acura el is doing that and its my second one. But thanks anyway will try this route first and see.
