Default POLL: To coat or not to coat, that is the question!

I have a mild steel header I recently purchased sitting in my living room right now. I just painted it black with high temp paint, but I find out that paint is not as resilient as I thought it would be. So I'm faced with a dilemma....either just ignore my paranoia and use the money on something else, or send the header to Jet-Hot to get it coated.

FYI, looks aren't really my concern. I just want this header to last for at least 5 years.

FYI, I've primered it with metal primer and the paint I used is RUST-oleum, a popular brand of high-temp spray paint available at local hardware stores.

Screw coating it. Install that thing and let's see how well it does on the dyno. Lotta hype surrounding this header.
