Default polishing pistons

I was looking at some spare oem pistons today and it looks to me like the manufacture has shot peened the top of the pistons for added strength/better fuel mixture.
My question is, would it be safe to polish out the wrinkles for less carbon build up?

lemme know what you guys think. thanx

Those wrinkles are not shot peening marks. They are simply the finish of the raw casting after it comes out of the mold.

Just like this guy said.

Carbon is not a bad thing. It helps insulate the piston from the heat of combustion. You will never keep carbon from depositing on the piston dome.
