Default Plug in Vtec head that is used for ls/vtec question.

Hey guys i am hooking up my gages ( oil pres and temp ) and was wondering if there is pressure behind the plug that is used for ls vtec ( obverses a vtec head and block ) also ware would you recommend getting oil tembature from ? I was thinking that there needs to be a flow across or around the temp. probe to get a accurate reading?

There is oil pressure behind the plug used for LS/VTEC on VTEC block/head engines. GSR block/head for example.
