PLEASE help!!! My civic has some problems. :(
Hey all,
ok here are the problems with my civic (any info on either of the problems will be EXTREMELY appreciated):
1) I put new mags on and now my steering is very jittery, my wheels pull to the right and the the left depending on weather I'm breaking or the road is grooved.
2) My car stalls from a standstill sometimes. Like if I was at a red light, and I hit the gas, sometimes it stalls.
3) I'm only getting about 300KM per tank of gas. I know for a fact I should be getting more.
If you have had the same problem(s), please tell me what was wrong with your car and how it was fixed. All suggestions/ideas are welcome!
THANKS!!!!!!
much appreciated.

similar thing happened to me. miles per tank is about the same but my car seems to drive it self on unleveled ground. this is normal. i dont know how excessive your ghost driver is but its normal if you get wider tires.
number 2 question, im not sure whats goin on.
number 3 question. what size tires/rims did you get? depending on the wheel size it can and will change your gas mileage.

1. wider wheels = bigger contact patch = more "tram-lining" = following imperfections on the road surface (learn to live with it plus maybe a little more toe in on the front...)
2 & 3 are indicative of an overly rich fueling situation?
are your O2 sensors pluged in etc???
HTH,
t..
Hey guys, THANKS for the help!
Here's some answers to your questions:
First off, Thanks Knight of Ni, Chaos and Tinkerbell for your time and info!
Second, I dont "drive like a maniac" lols
, I drive conservativly. I dont gun it every light etc. Yet I still am only getting 300K to the tank.. where as I should be getting about 450K, I knew that was about right (Thanks Knight). Also it's an automatic.
Tinkerbell, how do you mean overly rich fueling situation? I use premium gas, cause I was just told too, and my car does run better with it than 87 ir 89 octane. Premium is 91 I think? and yeah my O2 sensors are in fine.
Thanks you guys!
Please help me fill in the blanks!
