i recently finished putting my motor back together, and the car won't run very well. the idle is crappy, and if you blurp the throttle the motor stalls. if i rev the motor in neutral, it won't get above 4000rpm. i have done the valve adjustment, checked timing, new cap, plugs and wires.

i am out of ideas. if you have any suggestions please let me know or else i am taking it to a shop tomorrow.

the specs on the motor are as follows:


2001 b18c5
83mm aebs sleeves
pauter rods
9:1 compression je pistons
stock itr head and cams

the car has been sitting for about a year with no motor in it. could that do anything? wiring harness corroded?
