Please help a friend out with idle problems
My friend has problems with his idle, I did a search & I gave him the links to the results but he still asked me to post up the problem along with his mods just in case they are part of the problem.
I'm having problems with my car can anyone help? I have a Fully
built LS/Vtech with JDM CTR Pistons, shot peened ls rods balanced bottom end
and a lightened flywheel. The head is a JDM B16A , with the WEB kit, that
includes ( titanium retainers, dual valve springs, stainless steel valves)
the head has been minorly opened up on the intake and exhaust ports. I have
a ITR intake cam and a GSR exh. cam. Adjust. cam sprockets made AEM and a
B&M fuel pressure regulator, (set to 41psi) and cam sprockets advanced 4
degrees both intake and exht. I also have a Type r intake manifold with a JG
over bored throttle body, a AEM cold air intake, also a reprogrammed civic
ECU w/ Mugen program ( OBD1).A stock GSR header, with 2 1/4 inch straight
pipe (no cat) with an Apex N-1 muffler.
Anyhow now that I have bored you with the mod's I have. I was
wondering if some one can help me with a problem I seem to be having w/ my
Integ.
The Idle on my car is real jumpy and high. It's idling at around 1600 RPM
and it goes up and down up and down from between 1400-1600 RPM . I'm
thinking it's a vacuum line that has been cut or popped off , but I could
find anything.??? So next I cleaned out the valve that sits just behind the
intake manifold , it has a sensor hooked up to it. That didn't work, so now
I'm looking for all your help, what could it be.??? Please Help..... w/b any

i would think that a a high varying hi idle would be normal during cold periods..but it should come down to about 1k after the motor warms up..sounds like the sensor or wiring to the auto choke is mess d up
