Default Which Pistons to use??

At the moment I have a Spoon stroker kit for my ek9 (which bascially are the ITR pistons, rods and crank but balanced and a spoon head gasket) and Jun 3 camshaft kits waiting to be fitted. But I still cannot decide to use the original ctr piston or use the spoon itr pistons or buy some Toda high compression forged pistons. Because I have heard that the Jun cams like high compression.

I want higher compression to give more bhp, but I have also heard that it requires more work to the block to fit the ctr pistons with the itr rods and it could be risky running too high compression with the Jun cams and the thin gasket. Is this true??

Did anyone have any problems with fitting ctr pistons into your ITR block, did it require more labour work. Because I have heard that it can cause some pistons and valves clearancen problem. Are you using any thinner head gasket? Is it not ideal to run thinner head gaskets because of the high compressions?

Please tell me what do you think of my set up, and what pistons would you recommend?

Please any suggestion and help?

Thanks in advance for any help

if you do getsome toda pistons or whetever piston, make sure you clay the block to make sure your valves wont hit the piston tops.

You are right about the risk of running high lift cams, thin head gasket, and high CR pistons all in the same set-up, but if you do like already suggested, clay the motor, you would be safe.

CTR should not be any different to install than ITR pistons. It is true that they will cause a higher risk of piston-valve contact, but claying the motor will check that for you.

If you don't plan on running a lot of nitrous, if any, then I say go with the CTR pistons. The Toda pistons are very expensive and they cause a very hign CR.
