yup, i'd say so!!! whats with the cheap no name oil filter.... ONLY USE HONDA GENUINE PARTS!!!!

something that might help people decide is whether the piston melted or not...(is the metal on the piston bubbled?)....give us a colorful description of this particular piston in comparison to the others. Also, do you have the matching head? What does it look like?

honda oil filters really arent all that great...wix and napa are actually a hell of a lot better, and test have been done so dont argue...

I'd say so... but since you're staring at the top of the piston, you might as well take it out and inspect it.

youll need to inspect the piston and rings to determine if it is really damaged. pull it out and post the pics

from what i am seeing, it looks to me like you were leaking coolant into this cylinder
