Default performance chip?

i have a 94 civic 4door lx 5 speed manual, that i am gona stick stick relativley cheap mods into it before i selll it, just to spice up the looks and make it a little faster.
on ebay their are a lot of performance chips availible, cheap too.
has anybody had a bad experience and good one with one of these?
the one i am looking at is the "Precision Engine Module"
i would just like to avoid a headache if anyone already knows these chips suck and arent worth the $40.

$40 for a $1.50 chip with some random "performance" program ...don't waste your money. You would have to get your ecu socketed to use it also.

if you're only doing bolt-ons your stock ECU is going to have the best performance anyway.

chipping the ECU and running a untuned "performance" chip is only going to cause problems.
If you're dieing to squeeze a little more out of the engine get it tuned or do it yourself using Crome or Uberdata.
