ECU chip questions
Im in the market to buy aan ecu chip, to lower my vtec engagment point, and raise the rev limiter. I'm wondering how many of you guys have boughten the cheap chips off of ebay, i found 2 that i was interested in getting that were pretty damn cheap. One is just the chip and the other comes with a socket kit. How much harder is it to socket the ecu? My buddy is really good at electronical **** and hes going to do it for me, so would it be best to just get the socket kit too? Im also running an OBD-1 PR-3 ecu, will the p30 chip work with this? TIA

Don't trust Ebay. For all you know they are probably selling you a chip from a calculator. Get your ECU chipped by Kenji, eg6ajk, KATMAN etc...

Well i dont want to have to send out my ecu, and also pay for someone to install it when we can do it, i just want to buy the chip and have it sent here. Couple of my friends also bought ebay chips and had good luck with them.
