Default PCV Valve?

I took my car into Jiffy Lube this past sunday for an oil change? (proceed to flame on ) Now my car idles rough. After talking to a friend I believe it's the PCV valve. However, I don't know where it's located on my car to fix the problem. I own a 2000 Civc dx (d16yz). Any help would be appreciated.

most likely but not really sure that is should be located or plugged into a hose running into the valve cover. One part goes on the valve cover and the other is attached to a hose.

You shouldn't need to do an oil change when you change your PCV valve, in fact, once you locate it (I have no idea where it is on a Honda engine) it should come out with relative ease and to test it, I believe it involves blowing air into one of the holes on it, and if the air goes through, it's a winner and if not, you need a new one. Either way, you might wanna replace it if you have miles on your car and are unaware of the last time the PCV has been changed.

So it's a hose that i'm looking for? Near the oil filter?

Well actually, the exact location I really have no idea, since I've only dealt with it on my Mustang, but I would imagine it would be higher up on the engine, since it is not exactly dealing with the oil itself. And there should be a hose attatching to it, but it is actually just a piece that the hose attatches to that is on the engine somewhere, and when you have it removed, and shake it, should sound like one of those pens that have the bottles in it.

I think in my car manual it says that if it makes a clicking noise when you close off the tube connected to it its ok. Or maybe its the other way around. Bah- I guess I'm not much help.

Might as well replace it tho. Its only a couple bucks.

Most PCV (Positive Crank Ventilation) are located on top of the head at one end of the engine...on H/A's, usually colored a light chocolate color...some times a right-angle fitting...with a large vacuum hose crimped on...
