Default PCV Box On Back of the Block?

What purpose does that box serve, and is it possible to be leaking oil from that box? It seems like my car is leaking oil out of that box.

PCV is a pressure valve to keep pressure from building in the engine block.

Yes, oil comes out. Yes, it could be leaking.

I am not sure.......probably just a few bolts though.
Do you have a haynes manual? (the 25 dollar one from autozone?)

Well then you need to get one [Helms]. That said, on my 99 stock CX, there are 2 bolts that hold it into place. Thing is, I can't seem to get the top one off to take the whole thing off. Once I get a socket on there, the extension I'm using is hitting the underside of the intake and not allowing the socket to seat fully. I have tried a swivel extension with no luck...could just be me though .

It's an oil seperator. It keeps oil from being sucked into the intake manifold through the PCV valve.
