Default pcv on b18a/b

do the b18a/b blocks have pcv systems. im building a lsvtec and was wondering if there is anything i needed to do to install one(if there isnt one already there) and also if i need to rerun anything to make it work properly with this setup. thanks guys. links would be great too.

oh yea i did a search but nothing was clear and straight forward...just catch can write ups mainly.

It's near your fuel rail on your intake manifold. There's a little hose that goes from your PCV to your air plenum.

is the pcv attached to the head or the block? i think thats my main question that way if its attached at the head i can run it...if its at the block it might need to be modified to fit...possibly. does anyone else have any insight into this.

I believe that the ls's have the pcv on the valve cover and a hose runs from it to the intake manifold. I dont think that they have the black boxes that the vtec motors have.

You will need to do a catch can setup on your lsvtec. What dont you understand about the catch can write ups?

atually you just answered my question...i think it was the fact that in all diagrams i never saw a catch can and that made me wonder if they even had a pcv on the motor. thanks guys for all your help...ill get to making a can today

It matters what year b18b block you have. The eariler ones had the black box and the later ones used the vale cover. Can't rember what year they changed it. I have a 94 and 95 b18b with the box.
