Default PCM help

Hey, I am trying to figure out why no one out there has tried to figure out how to tune an OBD2 engine module for the H/F-series engines. I know I will get the standard, "cause they have chipped OBD1" response. I know there is better programming and control capable with the OBD2 module, and they chip in it should be a read/write capable, cause the factory can do it. please help me understand why.

No one has done it for the b series and there is FAR more demand there than gor h and f.

Perhaps the cost is not worth it when you have hondata on obd1 ecus and the aem infinity system that blows obd2 away.

I would think it would be worth the effort, the processor in the OBD2 modules has to be better. I understand that everyone knows how to do the hondata thing, but I don't think they understand the difference and who it isn't better.

if someone spent the time they could come up with something like hptune is for GM vehicles. would not have to spend $1500 on an AEM system.

I imagine you could convert a H/F over to coil-on-plug and then use K-Pro, assuming all the other sensors put out similar signals. Would have to use USDM crank angle, JDM does that all in the distributor which obviously won't work.

I understand the desire. I like being able to plug the scan tool in and see what the ECU is seeing, but unless you live in a state that has stringent enough emissions testing to require it, it's not something to really worry about.
