Default Part Throttle Tuning

Currently i am working on a friends turbo h22 and was wondering once you have your WOT tune done, then how do you start to tune the part throttle when the engine is in closed loop mode? Because doesn't the engine automatically correct a/f and timing and such?

What ECU are you using? On most of the standalones you can switch off the closed loop mode while you tune it...

No one has an opinions on closed loop tuning? or a confirmation that part throttle tuning is worthless?

I'm bumping this, because I am sure there are people trying to tune part-throttle with issues. This thread gives some good advice.
