Default P30 is it auto or manual

it says

470-209745

below the bar code and it has a seperate board inside the ecu that is about 3"x4" long and is connected by a 12pin wire

USDM (rectangular) or JDM (square) ECU?

If USDM, you can look at RP17. They are at the bottom left of the board when you hold the ECU with the plugs on the left. If RP17 is empty, you have a MT ECU, if not it's AT. Yanking both RP17 and RP18 from an AT ECU and replacing RP18 with a jumper wire will render it manual.

JDM, they have RP17 and RP18 like the USDM ECUs, but they are tiny surface mount components on the bottom side of the ECU's motherboard. Take a look-see, tell me what you find.
