I just finish to built my harness obdII-obdI but I don't have my chip yet for my P28 ecu, so I need to know if I can install (just for testing) the harness and the ecu without the chip or this can damage something ?

Just for idling and farting around it'll be okay. Don't do any full throttle stuff though.

 

Ok, do you think that with my VAFC it's will be possible to engage the vtec without any risk or I am better to disconnect the VAFC.

 

If you don't throw any codes, then the harness works.

 

My check engine is ON so I probably have some bad connection with my harness. The car Idle great and everything seem to be OK. My VAFC work and I inspect few time the harness and everything is suppose to be good. Do you know if I can read the error code by myself or I don have the choice and need to go at dealer.

Just insert a paper clip into the service plug and count how many times the check engine light blinks.

I will try this beginning of the coming week but do you know if the ecu check for Knock sensor or vtec pressure swith or something a non vtec integra don't have. right now it my VAFC that control my vtec and I use my P75 ecu.
