Default P28 ecu

Can anyone tell me what rpm the VTEC crossover point is at (stock), and where the rev limiter is as well (stock)? Much appreciated, TIA.

you can't really 'hear' vtec kick on, on a SOHC VTEC engine, since vtec only works on the intake side. Reason you can hear the vtec 'baaap' sound on a DOHC vtec engine is because vtec is on the exhaust side also.

even Katty is wrong on this one

On the P28 ECU, VTEC engages between 4800 and 5200 rpm depending on the load placed on the engine. WOT or even 3/4 WOT VTEC will engage at 4800 rpm.

The limiter is at 7200 rpm.

Hey Jason, you slacking??????

Hmm I thought the rev limiter was higher... considering the engine's redline (D16Z6) on the dash is 7200 rpm. I would have guessed around 7400-7500...
