Hey everyone, im planning on chipping my ecu this Sunday. I need some reccomendations as far as what is a good rpm to have vtec engage. Keep in mind this car is daily driven. I have a d16z6 w/ a few bolt ons ect... I heard don't go any lower than 4000 for vtec, but I would appreciate some input on this. Also what would be a good point for the the rev limiter to be set at. I think thats about all I needed to know, if there is anything im overlooking here please feel free to inform me. Thanks ahead of time, guys and gals.

*bump* Cmon someone on this forum has to have experience or have some input on this particular subject? wtf
When I tune I usually leave VTEC where it is at from the factory. What many people "talk" about moving vtec it is done on the notion that if you go lower you get more power or it feels faster because you can feel it "kick" in. This mostly false. Though some power can be made moving VTEC up or down depends on your engine and the mods you have done to it.
Since it is mostly stock and a dialy driver I would maybe move it down 200 RPM and lower your fuel 5% as the stock P28 tends to run rich. But I would go anything beyond that unless you are going to dyno tune with a Wideband a/f.
