oxygen sensor weirdness
OK - heres a bit of a nagging problem I've been having lately, and it starting to get under my skin, so I'll post it for some outside input.
My CRX has a turbo b18a, obd0, running a garrett t3 at 12 psi, which runs great.....except that when the car switches to "closed loop" operation (ie: O2 sensor is active to trim A/F ratio) the wideband in my car then quickly "flips" from 13.5 to 16.2, 17.8, 18.5, and so on.... it does this little trick over and over at part throttle, all within maybe a second or two....just reading AFR's all over the map.
I am running turboedit, but disabling the o2 sensor in the program makes no difference.
Today I just disconnected my o2 sensor at the connector, and boom - steady AFR's
( but a CEL after a bit of running, of course)
Strangely enough, this o2 is brand new, so I was wondering if a sketchy wire could cause this weirdness, or has anyone run into defective, new O2's before....
or any other tips would be welcome

oh yeah, the new sensor is one of those "universal 1 wire" ones(i'm a cheapass), anyone know if a "genuine honda oe fit" would somehow be better/more accurate?
