Default Oxygen Content sode

Hello all,
Ok I have a problem. I have converted my 89 sedan from dual-point to port injection. I have a 98 D16Y8 motor in it. I keep getting an oxygen content code after a couple of minutes of driving...I can let it idle all day and it wont come on...when it comes on it runs like crap...only responds to 3/4 or full throttle...It hesitates and stumbles...I have replaced the O2 sensor twice...Thanks in advance for any suggestions....

Were you running the same motor with dual-point without any problems before the conversion to port? What ECU are you using? If it's the '98, it's probably looking for two sensors. One before and one after the cat. Otherwise, check the wiring to the ECU. When the CEL comes on, the ECU goes into open loop.

Ok here is to low down on what I am running in my car...
89 Honda Civic sedan
98 D16Y8
90 Si distributor
90 SI ECU
93 SI intake, throttlebody and injectors
Hasport dual-point conversion harness to port injection.

I had the problem ever since I did the conversion. I did have a 96 DX 1.6L block and head...and still had the problem...could it be caused by leaning out...I have replaced the O2 sensor twice...the car runs fine until the light comes on...which is in about 5 mins or less of driving....I am running just one cat...the exhause is just like it came on the car in 89...
Thanks for replying...

What's your fuel presure? That "90" Si ECU might need more than you have.

Thanks for all of your replies...I think I may have solved it...I finished installing my Field SFC/Vtec controller and I boosted the fuel pressure...My idle has smoothed out and my CEL has not came on once..I have driven my cars three different times and the light has not came on...normally it would have came on by now...I think my fuel pressure is the wrong one also...I think I might have put one on from my dual-point...my mess up...I couldnt remember which one I had on....too much switching parts...again thanks for your help....so far so good...pulls stronger now...I guess I need an A/F guage to see how it is running...just to make sure it is not leaning out...does anyone have any suggestion on setting my fuel % on my SFC for the D16YB....I am just playing it by ear and feel now...
