one issue to another
Well here goes, I came home early form work this Thursday to do a simple strut swap between my civic and my friends Del sol. Reason being is he has the Apexi n1 Damps on the sol and the damn things are blown to hell, every time you hit a bump it bottoms out. Anyways the operation was all going well till I got the axle tripot bearings cocked inside the boot. long story short I had to drop the intermediate shaft and the drive-shaft just to get the **** out, and they will not separate from each other any ideas on how to get them apart? I've tried everything besides prying on it cause I dont want ot screw the interm- shaft, any input would help at this point..
I'm a little confused.
The axle "tripot" bearings? Do you mean the CV joint became disconnected? Then you had to drop the intermediate shaft and driveshaft to get the struts out? You should not have to remove the axles to remove the strust/springs.
What are you trying to get apart?

not using my head that was what the problem was, I took too much **** apart to do a 15min job. Sorry folks for the lousy post, just a few days without thinking about the car solved all my problems and now the car rides nice
