Default Oil on the spark plugs?

Went to change the spark plugs in my sisters 91 Accord (F22a1) and cylinder 1, 2, and 3 were SOAKED with oil, I mean it was dripping off my wrench. Cylinder 4 the spark plug had been running way hot, it was WHITE. This engine has 210,000 miles on it, now I'm wonder do you think its the piston rings? Or something to do with the valves? Also I was wondering if it expensive to have this problem looked at and fixed? Any experience/comments are welcome!

The reason I'm so desperate is because Mark (owner of HS) has had our clutch lightened flywheel, timing belt and water pump, and 2600 dollars of ours for over a year now, and is pretty much ignoring us. I'm trying not to spend a lot of money on this F22 since I am HOPING we either get our parts and money back from Mark, or the engine. This whole ordeal has been stressful. Now it looks like I'm going to have to do engine work on this F22.

Can anyone help?

My cousin asked me how to CHECK her oil last week over the phone. I told her. A couple of days ago her motor went, so I was like did you check the oil? She said " yeah, it was low so I filled it up" I looked under the spark plug wires and no **** she filled it up. Each one of the valve cover inlets was filled about halfway with oil. She didn't even open the filler cap. Oh well. Sorry I didn't answer your ?? Good luck!

LOL now that's funny! Girls can be so cute/innocent but at the same time destructive, but I don't think my sister has been putting oil in her spark plugs. I believe the problem is because of blown piston rings from high mileage and not taking care of it. She bought the car from some guy a few months ago..

But its either the piston rings or something to do with the valves, it couldn't really be anything else. My question was is it expensive to have this fixed? I don't have time to rip her car apart, she works full time and so do I.

there are a set of little O rings that seel the plug sockets from the valve cover..each time the cover is removed Honda usually replaces the seals..i beleive there s about 15 of them in there..the cost is nt all that much..ive had two sets replace d in the past

If its oil inside the spark plug shafts then its the 4 spark plug gaskets inside the valve cover. Go grab a valve-cover gasket, the 4 spark plug gaskets, the grommets and a tube of honabond. The grommets are small gaskets that cover the bolt holes where the valve cover is bolted to the head. Prolly $30-40 total. Take the valve cover off, take off old gaskets/grommets, clean up the holes a little. Put a small ammount of HB in the sparkplug gaskets and stick them on the valve cover. Then take small dabs of HB and put it on the corners on the head where it arches up for the camshaft. Put the new valve cover gasket in the valve cover track and put it on. Then the grommets go on the bolts. Torque the valve cover bolts to 8lb and your good to go.

dont get ur hopes up. i had an 91 accord se. i changes spark plugs and there was oil all over them..not the top part where the wire goes. down where it sparks. i thought it might be the valve cover. nope, i had soma crazy blowby and bad oil rings. my compression test said ( from 1-4) 90 psi, 90 psi, 60 psi, 90 psi. thats real bad. that motor only had 146k on it. the one i own now has 218k on it..compression, 170,170,170,170. never been reringed or anything. i dunno, im just tellin u wat shitty luck i had. hopefully urs isnt as bad.

Yeah, a compression check would also be a good idea, if it comes out all good then go with what I said earlier.
