Default oil on spark plugs

Hey guys , got a 93 civic gsr motor w/ bolt ons . Lately car has been bogging down on light acceleration so I pulled the spark plugs and they were covered in oil . The spark plug wires also had a weird lean smell to them , any suggestions as to what could be the cause ?

if there is oil around the spark plug by the tip then your engine should have smoke coming out thru the exhaust pipe...that usually indicates bad piston rings on that cylinder...they are allowing oil to pass thru them and up into the cylinder

I have the same problem with my civic 97. One of the spark plug has oil in the tip. Small amount of white smoke is coming out the exhaust. Help Guys!

I have a turbo ls teg same problem.. it has not effected the car so much tho. check the valve cover gasket they have a tendency to go. a leak down test and compression test will tell you if your rings are really bad or not. i have 170 across the 4 cylinders and its burn 2 quarts in between oil changes still runs like a tank 130k

Probably valve stem seals. Doubtful it is the VC gasket.
