Default oil pressure

noob question im sure. i just started my new build up and i have got like 78 psi of oil pressure, now me never have had a guage to know but does this seem like a lot to anyone else. Thx in advance

^ are you high??? Although the engine isnt listed, thats way high...typically speaking at idle should be around 25psi min.....3000rpms should be around 50psi min although things can vary a little depending on ambient temp, oil viscosity, and clearences.

lol, ive had about 5 different motors in my car, all were right around the 80psi mark at idle. Those were all bone stock, with more than 80,000 miles on them.

well its no wonder you have had 5 different engines in your car with oil pressure that high.....or your guage is just way off.....this is taken directly from mitchell ondemand

oil pressure at idle should be at 10psi (0.7kg/cm2) minimum. Oil pressure at 3000 RPM should be 50 psi minimum (3.5kg/cm2) minimum.
also since I do not know which engine he has, I just picked a '95 b18b, but most honda engines are around the same specs

i figured it out my guage was wrong,i got
b18a1,
81.5mm,
8.9:1 pistons,
eagle rods,
stock rebuilt head,
skunk2 cam gears,
t3/t4
greddy BOV.
once i got all the air out of the line it read right, thx guys i thought that was way high

about 32-35 it idle and 45 psi at 4500 RPM? sound right
