Help Please, low oil pressure at idle 20w50
Motor was built by PFI. 20w 50 has been used since it was built. I have been noticing a significant oil pressure drop at idle. Oil pressure has gotten down to 1-5 psi @ idle. When I move off or rev oil pressure seems to be dead on. Any ideas? Car seams to also have boost leaks but I haven't pressure tested yet. I hope they are not related. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

if you only have 1-2psi of oil pressure with 20w50 oil you have a serious problem.
first verify that your pressure gauge is reading correctly.....at 1-2psi the oil light should come on...if its not on then the gauge or sending unit for the gauge could be bad.
also you don't need to run 20w50 engine oil....that is a poor engine builders recommendation because they are too lazy or stupid to select the proper bearing clearances so that you can have proper oil pressure with normal 30wt oil.
