Default Oil on plugs....dripping from threads down

I did a compression test on a friends motor this evening and when we pulled the 1st cylinder plug there was oil all over the plug from the threads down. Like a lot of oil, dripping off. Not just a little that got through. There was no oil above the threads so it cant be the little grommet gaskets between the head and valve cover. The compression came back great. 210 across the board, so I cant see it being the headgasket or ring blow by. I am think possibly a crack in the head? What do you guys think?
