a buddy of mine has '97 civic ex with a d16 and his oil light keeps coming on or flashes and dims.... he has an aftermarket oil pressure gauge installed his oil pressure never really drops and the oil light still comes on????

 

replace the sensor, its only a couple of bucks

 

I hope he made sure that there is enough oil in the pan.
