Oil light flickering
I noticed sometimes when I come to a stop and the revs drop, the oil light comes on. You might have read my other post regarding grounding the oil pressure sender on the firewall.

I grounded the sensor today, yet when I come to a stop sometimes the oil light comes on. Why is it doing this? I put a little under 5 quarts of oil in it....
thanks

Low oil presure maybe?

I've experienced a similar problem to this. Believe me! don't drive your car any further until you ve had it checked out.
I used to drive a DA7 (4 door ZC powered integra) which blew its big end bearings after about a week of the oil light flickering on and off, just like yours is. Of course I thought it was just a faulty oil pressure switch. Turned out to be a a screwed oil pump that was falling into low pressure at times. Oh well, about a grand later I got a new motor put in.
Oil is like the blood that runs through our engines, low pressure is just as bad for us as it is for cars.

yes i fear the oil pump is the culprit.... when i noticed the light flicker, i reved the motor and noticed the light quickly went off.
Argh dammit how hard is it to put a new oil pump in? I just got the car running again today for the first time since like focking november, seeing as how i was never home during the school year...
ive been boosting hard with no problems, i prolly shouldnt test my luck further should i?

Because it was too late for the ZC motor in my old teg, we just took out the whole motor and putin a new one. The oil pump was easy to get to wonce out of the car. In the car, i'd imagine you would have to remove the cam belt, wires, and maybe the intake mani to get to the pump. Not completely sure what would be involved.
If it is the oil pump than your ride might last a month or it might blow a big end tomorow. If I was you I wouldn't risk it, Thats what I did and it did not do nice things to the rods and crank

Yeh... Im not going to risk it.
The light flickers when i come froom going real fast, to a stop... it flickers for a second then goes off.
Do you know at what psi the light is triggered? Should I go with a stock gsr pump?

Sorry, I'm not really sure at what pressure the light begins to flicker. As your motor is forced fed, it might be a good idea to have an oil pressure gauge. I don't think these are necessary, but could be useful in early detection of problems like these.
It would be safe to say that a new stock GSR pump will work fine. I'm not to familiar on what the specs are or how the after market pumps perform. Most of the turbo civics i've seen run the stock pump and maintain sufficient of oil pressure

thanks.... ima order a new oil pump ASAP and see if that fixes the problem
