Check your oil pressure sending unit... My light used to not come one when I started the car, and it would just flicker... Turned out to be the pressure sending unit... I unscrewed it, put another in and it was fine...

is you sensor hooked up to an ls-vtec line?
sometimes being in the wrong location it wont sense oil
pressure until you crank the motor
if it stays on while the car is running, your in big trouble

ok i fixed light ok if it stays on that meens that my oil pump went out right

the oil light is not staying on just asking
ok its black smoking and there is oil in spark plug #4 at the botom not the top all spark plugs full carbon car doesnt want to stay on know

i dunno but that sensors a peice of shyt anyways..when i was turboed i took it out completely and left it on my kitchen counter for like 2 weeks..oil light never went on

usually when it flashes it means you have a bad sensor but not always
