Oil Cooler Question?
Do the 99-2000 SI's have oem oil coolers. I recently bought a B16a2 from a 99 SI and I did not know about the oil coolers. I do not know if it is still attached or not. Do any other civics have an oil cooler that I can use if I have to use one? My car has a D16y8 but I wonder if it uses one and if it is the same. TIA
NO, civics don't come with an "oil-cooler".. factory turbo cars do hve coolers though. I think what you're talking about are the oil lines that go to the radiator (AT). , but not applicable to the EBP Si becuase it's not AT>>>

Thanks for the info. i guess it just attaches to the tube from the water pump to the thermostat. Am I correct. I pulled out my helms that i just got and I believe that is what it showed. Thanks again mmuller you have answered another question of mine.
wow
okay guys lets organize here... and inform
JUST B SERIES
90-91 b16's have them (obd0)
94-95 GSR have them (obd1)
ALL type R's have them
D series, H series, K series, they all have them depending on model/year... which i cant give EXACT details on.
The purpose of a OEM oil cooler....
1, it warms up oil so it runs at operating temp sooner
2, keeps oil at operating temp by transfering heat to coolant then to radiator
so, NO, your 99-00 B16 doesnt have oil cooler
