ok my odometer is jumpin up and down and sumtimes stuck, i have a h22 swap on my teggy and is runnin p28 chipped.. and clusters are ITR, RPM works... but i think its like 200-300 faster... thats what i see from the VAFC.. anyone know how to make the speed meter work again?

 

sounds like a VSS prob

 

im down with down shift there check the VSS out..

 

how do i check if the vss is messed up? do i need a prelude vss for mine? or the ls one well work... pics would b nice tnx

 

well u have to realize that ur odommeter runs of the speed ur going. so if u go 40 mph for a whole hour.. then ur odometer will mark 40 miles more,. pretty simple stuff. but if ur speedo is not working nor should ur odometer. if it is, ur cluster is defective.
so if ur VSS is messed up if ur needle in ur speedo is not moving.

 

the tacks works... but its like 10 mph faster.. but sumtimes its stuck.. never the right speed though

 

it looks like ur cluster is messed up. the tach has nothing to do with the malfunction. this happened to me a while ago to on my prelude. i believe very strongly that ur cluster is messed up. but idk if u can get those fixed. eventho everything else might work on the cluster if the speedo doasent work ur odomoter wont work.
