Odometer stopped working
I just recently bought a 1999 em1 (1999 civic Si) and my odometer stopped reading... the cars in good shape so what could be some reasons why it stopped reading? as well as possible fix's?
Note: I checked the vss sensor and it seems to be connected properly
I checked for a fuse that was labeld "alt/vss" and could not find one under the dash. The closest fuse I found was an "insturment panal" fuse. I believe the vss wires itself directly to the spedometer (which also stopped working) and the odometer.
any other suggestions?
any other suggestions?
I had the same thing happen in my 93 and I know at least 2 other ppl with 92-95 civics that went through the same thing. We all went to a junk yard and picked up a new guage cluster and havent had a problem since.
I know yours is newer but it seems to me that there is a trend of guage clusters going out. If all else fails, try to replace it IMO.
