Default odd problem from 6000-8000rpm

i just installed a p73 intake manifold and a GSR throttle body on my b16a1.

the thing is. at 6500+ rpm it gives me this wild loss of power now. its like its back firing too. all i did was change the intake manifold and TB. @7500rpm it'll straight back fire and not give any more.

its pulling pullin, then bam 6500-7000rpm it jus dies out and i git these back fires.
the revs keep goin up, but i git a complete loss of power.

i thought my tach was off and the rev limiter was getting hit. but its not that, as i put a digital tach on and its jus off a about 100-200rpm.

heres the thing, i use a stock CRX SI exhaust system, its like 2" at most and maybe 1 5/8" diameter , i call it a pea shooter.. would this make it not like those high revs???

other than this problem, the R manifold and new TB has great improvement from 4000rpm+ till it does the backfire, loss of power deal.

that usually sounds like your distributor, where is your head ground make sure you have that in the right place. half of the world has it in the wrong spot and that will make your dist take a ****, causing you to back fire at high RPM's
