Default Need help on RPM reving????

Well after the itr leaks alot , i decided to put my stock B16 intake manifold back on. Well i went to get new INtake manifold & throttle body gasket and salpped my stock intake manifold back on, put all the vac. on, hose, and etc... but now my biggest problem is that my RPM keeps on reving. SO i took the AEM intake off and use my finger to plugged the top hole in my throttle body and it stops reving, & as soon as i took my finger off it starts to rev again. SO i think that it is that thing at the back that sticks to my manifold. PLEASE GIVE MEEH A ANSWER.

OKay! well i used the IAC on my other bro. cx. Because the dx don't fit. But still, it is still reving. SO! my cousin came over and told meeh to turn the TPS sensor back and forth, it works, but the RPM is high, IT's at 1500rpm. Then as i kept on moving the TPS the RPM droped to 1100rpm. And now i think its not the IAC, SOMETHING'S WRONG....

First you gotta set your TPS to .5v closed throttle and 4.5v at full throttle. Then go from there. Also, what codes are you getting?

How do i set it to .5v? never heard of that, well it seems like a good idea. How do i close the throttle? What happen is that i turn the idle all the way low. And also ther's no check lilght.

Its the red wire in the center of the 3wire tps plug that you will use to set the voltage. You need to tap into that red wire and ground the other side of the voltmeter. Then set your TPS to .5v closed throttle and 4.5v at full throttle. If you need more info on how to do it, do a quick search. Theres a couple of good ones on here.

Thanks for that help! it helps a lot. I Clean it and guest what? it has a bunch of dirt in there. But it 's all clean. ANd stilll i does still reving around 0 1/2 to 1 1/2. But then as i turn the TPS forward it stops reving, then as i turn it back all the way then it starts to rev again. so i took off my intake and try to plug the two hole that are in my Throttle, and it does suck my finger a little but it still does the same thing. and then i went to look at the IAC and unplug the sensor or wire plug then it stops reving. and as i put it back on it starts reving different and faster an also CHECK light came on, so i turn off my engine/car then turn it back on & it starts reving slow again. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS F..... PROBLEM. IT's SOME WEIRD ****.

You sure you have everything plugged in right? Recheck your connections, vacuum and electrical, and make sure you didn't mix any of them up. Good Luck
