Default octane help

Ok a little info. I have a 2002 civic boosted. Due to the shitty design of the new civics you cant retard the ingnition timing. It is all electronic controlled with individual coil packs. That said. I was running 100 octane in germany and running 13psi no problems. Here in Cali only thing I can find at the pump is 91. What do you suggest I do to be able to run 91 octane reliably. I ahve tried retarding the cam and it did not fix the problem. Also the fuel pressure reg. is in the tank due to being a returnless fuel system. any help would be great. Should I add fuel and run rich just to keep from detonating or missfiring?. I have 2 extra injectors with a stand alone computer for them so I can adjust the fuel and way I want. thanks

First make sure you know what octane... Most of Europe labels the pumps with RON, but USA uses (RON+MON)/2. So that german 100 might not be much (any?) better than our 92 or 93. You might not be as far off as you think.

well I thought about that but tha car runs like ****. can't even get over 2psi without misfiring and stuttering. It detonates too. I tried retarding the cam but it didn't help. I tried running really rich but no help either. I am out of ideas.

Strange... That sounds too severe to be caused by a couple points of octane rating. Check to see whether you've got something else going on.
