Default OBX 5.5qt oil pan

got my flame suit on for even bringing it up but....

any thoughts on it's design. Lets try and keep the "it's obx so it sucks" comments to a minimum. Id be interested in hearing what exactly is wrong with it.

they might be the best money you ever spent on an oil pan... however, with there reputation, im going to draw the 'assumption' that ground clearance will be shitty...

The pan looks nice, but when I had an issue with an OBX LSD, Sparktec Motorsports would not return my emails, and they don't have a phone number listed on their website. If you need after-sale support they will not be there.

The gasket will leak, the pickup won't seal and will suck in air, the nuts will strip out, the trap door will get stuck and the welds will crack and all your oil will fall out. Or maybe it will be like the diffs, once you put the oil in, you can't get it back out again.

Kidding (maybe). The bungs for oil return and temp are good though, ASSuming they don't leak all over the place.

hadn't thought about ground clearance issues, good point. they claim it is stock depth who knows

not worried about the gasket leaking, I just hondabond the pan on anyway.

Heres the real question, how much is it?

Opps, $200, i see.. It seems that all obx stuff is exactly 1/2 the price of the company that they copied it from.. Kinda strange there huh..
