Oil pan
There seems to be a constant leak at my oil pan Thing is, when the car is stationary I don't see any oil coming from the oil return tap but oil just seems to be around the bottom of the pan so I think it may be the oil pan gasket that is letting out oil when the car is moving...
As everyone knows the pains of getting the pan to seal properly having taken it off for the oil return weld, I just don't want the hassle of taking the whole pan off and changing the gasket and then realising that it still leaks. So should I just put some JB weld around the seal?? Will this hold up or should I remove it and change the gasket?
The last time I checked the oil level I was quite shocked that it dropped quite considerably. I'd topped it up to just above the max level and having done about 300miles it dropped dwon to about half, between the min and max level There is no signs that the motor is burning any oil
