obd2 to obd1: rewiring distributor, HELP?
i need help rewiring my dizzy.. i found other threads on here about how to wire it up, but when i did it, i was one wire short.. im not to sure if my dizzy is a obd2a or b.. it has 8 wires, can anyone out there help me out?? im guessing its obd2a, cause i heard there usually square shape.. were obd2b are more rectangler.

you have an obd2b dist . the extra blu wire on the dist goes t the blue wire by itself on the drvr side near the firewall. it has a plastic plug cover by a rubber sleeve on the end of it.

Why? That blue wire sitting over by the drivers side is a tach output from the ECU.

with an OBD2b ECU yes, that blue wire at the driver's shock tower is connected to the tach output signal of the ECU, something new from OBD2a to OBD2b.
BUT with an OBD2a or OBD1 ECU you need that blue wire from the distributor.
