wiring up ek obd2 dizzy in obd1 eg
just put a obd2 d16y8 into my girlfriends obd1 eg hatch, everything is hooked up and wired up correctly except the distributor, theres an extra plug in the obd1 harness with 2 wires black w/ yellow and a blue wire, the obd2 distributor doesnt have the connector with the 2 wires, where do i wire them to? has anyone else done this before?

theres only 2 FAT pins/wires. Just connect those two to their same color....It should all at least almost be the same colors... Just close your eyes and connect each fat wire with something, if your tach doesn't work then switch it around. then you'll have it right.

theres only 1 fat wire and its the yellow w/ black, and the other wire (the blue one) doesnt match any of the dizzy wires (no single blue wires)

You will need to add the blue wire inside the distributor, it goes to the igniter and provides the tach signal. You could also just use a D15B7 distributor, bolts up to a Y8 head perfectly and its OBD1.
