obd2 motor with obd1 harness ?

obd2 motor with obd1 harness ?
i got a99gsr motor and i had to put an obd1 harness on it i cut and pasted all the clips on the harness but im now left with an extra clip its for the crank speed sensor the 94 harness doesnt have it do i toss this system or do i have to wire it some other way
