Default OBD2 Diagnostic Port

I recently swapped in an OBD1 motor (jdm b16) into my 98 coupe (OBD2). I am running my old d16y8 harness to an obd1 ecu via a conversion harness. Here in New York, to pass emmissions, the inspector plugs into the obd2 diagnostic port found under the steering column. I believe that they read if the computer is throwing any codes and if it is, it will fail the inspection. Since im running an OBD1 computer but the diagnostic port is still present in the car, what will happen? Any help would be greatly appreciated...these expired inspection tickets are adding up!

The diagnostic port will not give the inspector any kind of reading on the car. I'm pretty sure you will fail.
