im new to the world of honda and cars in general and theres so much that i have yet to learn. ive been reading around alot and the one thing that i always come across is OBD. ive mostly read it in forums where people are doing engine swaps. i wanna know what is OBD, whats its purpose, and whys it important to have the right one? i would really appreciate all and any info that you guys have towards the matter.

Re: OBD0, OBDI, OBD2 ? (loner8000)
I would suggest a google search for your answers.
There is just to much that would be needed to explain.
Simply OBD is On-Board Diagnostics.
Started out as OBD or OBD0 and this means the car had somewhat a way to diagnose problems.
OBDI is simply a newer version with more diagnostic tools.
OBDII is the newest with even more.
Now we are starting with CAN but I don't want to confuse you too much.
