OBD 2 alternator- OBD 0 Car
Its gotta be possible. I 've search and all I come up with is OBD1/OBD2 alt swaps. Nothing about OBD 0. The problem is... The OBD 2 alt has four wire and the OBD 0 has only three wires. I have the pig tail and for the OBD 2 alt just need to know if I can get rid of one of the wire and make it work.
Pics well apreciated!
Thanks

What color are the wires on your OBD0 car? The 90 Integra should have four wires, just like the OBDII.
White - to battery fuse
Blue - Alternator RF Signal
Black/Yellow - Dash fuse box
White/Blue - Goes to the light in the gauge cluster.

I have ...
OBD0 --- OBD2
Blu Wht/Red
Wht/Blu Wht/Blu
Blk/Yel Blk/yel
Nothing Wht/Grn
From what I can tell I am missing a white + yellow wire. Thats what all obd1 cars have with the same plug. So do I just leave that guy out?

this is what i know:
White goes to battery (fusebox)
White/green goes to ecu (USA models) [maybe something to do with the ELD on some USA models]
black/yellow goes to dash fusebox
White/blue goes to charging light
white/red goes to ecu
So I guess White/green is optional
*Edit:
White/green is indeed "Alternator control signal" (ALTC), and is used on ELD equiped vehicle.

When the ECU drops this signal to ground, the alternator will stop charging. If this wire is shorted to ground, the alternator will never charge.</TD></TR></TABLE>
So leaving this open the alt. should always charge.

As far is I know, our alternators are not controlled by the ECU.
They start charging, once the engine is running.
So it should be safe to leave out the ALTC wire. Do not ground it, else the alternator will not charge.
Any second opinions?

Got some wiring diagrams today. My harnesss(3 wire) Has the correct inputs for the 4 fire minus a control wire.(used for BCM) I don' thave a BCM, so not going to use the wire at all and see how she goes.

While you're at it, could you take a pic, or draw a scetch of that obd2 pigtail?
I'm also about to install a 2000 civic SI (obd2 a.f.a.i.k) alt on my obd0 B16a1, but need to know which wires go where on the alt.
I dont have a obd2 harness handy to check to wireing.
