Default O2 simulator not working

I installed an o2 simulator today that sends a signal to imitate the rear o2 sensor. I know its plugged up correctly because the led is flashing, yet the cel is still on throwing a code 65. any suggestions? i have a test pipe and no o2 bung on it, thanks for any help.

You need to put a resistor across the black wires

I thought it was a 1 MFD capacitor across the leads?

The stock sensor has a resistance near 14ohms. Try a value near there for the resistor across the heater circuit(black wires).
