Default o2 sensors

so how do I go about this? I'm trying to get my p28 to run. My hx is wired with a 5 wire and a four wire. I can't figure out which wire the p28 reads because I can't find a replacement 5 wire to plug in to see if the stock ecu clears code with a new 5 wire becasue the only five wire I can find costs $400. Do I need to re-wire or is there a way to by-pass and make the #2 4 wire port the main port.

the p28 doesn't have capability to read the 5 wire O2 sensor. you will need to pin out and run a regular 4 wire O2.

can you explain the pin out prossess or show a diagram or pic. I don't have much experience with this, but am eager to learn how to fix it. If you have a web site that explains this topic that would be cool, too. thank you for your help!!!!!!!!!!

'pinning out' refers to moving, deleting, or adding wires to ECU connector in order to add circuits or remove them from the ECU. I don't particularly have any schematics on line but you may want to PM 'Katman' here on h-t and he can direct you to what you need online. it's isn't that hard to 'pin out' the ECU for the 4 wire O2.

Good luck

Sorry it took me so long to post a reply...

Fortunately, we've been extremely swamped here at our shop in KC, so haven't had much time for tech support.
