O2 sensor question

Okies here's the thing, my cousin has a 91 integra with B18A1 and his o2 sensor totally fucked, i mean we superglued it together and put clear tape on it just to make the engine look a bit better! but do/will/should u really need a o2 sensor for the car to run smoothy because his engine has been losing alotta power even with a new header and exhaust-

The o2 sensor does nothing when in open loop.. Its only there for closed loop operation..

yulp... its only for "around the town" efficency.

Yup.. Its not accurate for tuning but great for gas mileage.. But if yours is broken I would still get one..
