Default o2 sensor gurus...PLEASE help

A while ago, my header cracked off the flange. So I took it to the muffler shop and they welded it back on for me. But ever since that day...car started throwing a code 1.
Now, I even had the o2 sensor disabled on my Hondata, but I still throw the code! I've been getting pretty crappy gas mileage as well. Running rich.

I figure that the welder accidentally burned the sensor, welding really close to it. But I figured it still wouldn't throw a code with the o2 hondata turned off.

Hondata told me the wiring might be messed up.

Any suggestions guys?

TIA

I actually haven't. I'm going to start looking for one soon (just been busy with finals and all). But what I don't get is why I would still throw the code when the o2 has been disabled with the hondata.

prolly popped wires out and when you put the tow black wires you switched them.

if yer cars OBD2 then test the one from the Catalitic converter in the primary position...its the same sensor. but if you buy one, and it still doesnt work, make sure you take it back. these things are expensive.

cuz its prolly not the O2 sensor thats bad. it could be a vacuum leak..could be a MAP sensor (from what ive heard) it could be a lot of diff things. im having the exact same problem, and was told that it could be my ECU. But i dont know exactly. i wanna take it to a honda dealership, but $$$$$$$$ is not exactly just flyin around here. and they charge 80 bucks for a gay diagnostic

so i deno. but if u fix it lemme know.

good luck

How are you disabling the O2 in Hondata? If you are doing it under Options, that actually just disables the Heater portion of the O2... Or are you running in Open loop?

Well if they didn't perform a good weld, it might have a vacuum leak..

try checking your wiring....you could be grounding a wire out.

We "street" tuned the car....A/F ratio was off. Leaned it out. Problem solved. No more code 1. Dunno why the tuning was totally thrown off in the first place.
