o2 sensor?
how do i know if my o2 sensor is fried? i have a 97 ex turbo and i think the rich running engine burnt it out, but not sure. can you help? and how bout my MAP sensor too, it idles funny now, between 1k and 2k up and down
Check you ECU for any kind of codes. You should be getting a Code 1 from a bad O2 sensor.
In most cases MAP sensors do not go bad. It's usually a vacuum line or something else.
When was the last time you checked your coolant? Air will get trapped in there causeing a revving idle. So make sure it's good and bleed.
Another, is your idle could be out of spec. Try resetting your idle by pulling the EACV while it's running, and check your tech to see if it's in spec. If not, readjust it. Then kill the engine, and reset your ECU, and plug the EACV connector back in. Let it idle for a few minutes without giving it gas.
